Notify.io can support other authentication methods like Google and Facebook, but in order to eventually support Provider SSO, we need our own concept of a User. So we might as well just have our own user registration, which for some lowers the barrier to entry. ("What? I have to use my Google Account?")
This ticket covers basic user/pass registration and login, while still providing a link to login via Google. Allowing the user to link their native account to a Google account (merging them) is out of the scope of this ticket.
